Mining: Zimbabwe holds the world’s second-largest deposits of Platinum Group Metals (PGMs), heavily concentrated in the Great Dyke formation. The country is a rising global powerhouse in critical minerals, boasting some of the largest lithium reserves in Africa. It also has substantial deposits of chrome, nickel, and rare earth elements, the linchpin of modern technology, vital for electric vehicles, wind turbines, and defense systems. Foreign investors are free to invest in the mining value chain, which includes provision of finance and technical services, exploration, extraction, logistics, beneficiation and value edition.
Agriculture: Historically known as the “breadbasket” of Southern Africa, investment in Zimbabwe’s agricultural sector centers on high value export-oriented horticulture (blueberries, macadamia nuts, avocados), agro-processing, dairy farming and beef production, and mechanization and irrigation. Renewable Energy: Zimbabwe has significant potential as a location for renewable energy generation, in particular in solar and onshore wind, Hydro along the Zambezi river- 5GW., Internal hydro from smaller water bodies – 150MW and Geothermal – 50MW.
